About
Mizoram University was created by an Act of Parliament (No. 8 of 2000) and it became functional from 2nd July, 2001. The University is located at Aizawl, the capital city of Mizoram and is spread over 978.1988 acres in an area on the outskirts of the city. Prior to the existence of Mizoram University, the North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU) with headquarters at Shillong was operating a campus in Mizoram. Headed by a Pro-Vice Chancellor, the then Mizoram Campus of NEHU consisted of seven Post-Graduate Departments, namely, Economics, Education, English, Forestry, Mizo, Psychology and Public Administration. During the last 22 years of its existence, Mizoram University has made considerable progress in terms of infrastructure, academic programmes, manpower and support services
The School of Engineering and Technology is an academic institution that comprises departments of ECE,EE,CE,CV,IT and FT .The School of Engineering and Technology offers UG,PG and PhD programs in all departments. The faculty members have been undertaking research projects sponsored by various national funding agency such as DRDO,UGC,DST,SERB,CSIR,DBT etc.
The ICAIRET is expected to create meeting point in engineering education for skilled professionals to interact and discuss cutting edge research and recent developments for digital India. It encourages and assists the professionals engaged in various technological engineering fields to maintain the integrity and competence of the profession. It fosters a sense of partnership among the professionals through research in state of the art methodologies within its areas of expertise for improving the common mans life by developing technical tools or models or products of their needs in creating digital India. It also serves as a platform for innovative researchers who can share their experiences, exchange their realistic ideas and solutions for the implementing problems faced in the society. It is a premier platform for the students, researchers, emeritus, professional and industry practitioners to share their new and innovative ideas, original research finding and practical development experiences in engineering through high quality peer reviewed papers.
